Obituary of Michael James Faboskay

Mr. Michael J. Faboskay, 52 years old, of Forbes Street, died Thursday at Albany Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1958 in Schenectady, a son of Robert and Patricia McGowan Faboskay. He attended Broadalbin Schools and moved to Amsterdam in 1980 where he had since resided. Michael worked for many years as a laborer with Local 190 out of Glenmont, NY. He enjoyed every thing that had to do with the outdoors. Michael loved life and brought smiles to many faces. Survivors include his companion of many years, Cheryl Ann Goss of Amsterdam; his four sons Joshua, Christopher, Sean and Michael J. Faboskay, Jr.; his daughters Kelly Ann and Hope Marie Faboskay; his brothers Mark A. and Russell Faboskay and Richard and Eric Brooks; his sisters Debra Drake, Dawn O?Connor, Michelle Jennings and Bobbi Jo Brooks; his grandchildren Jaylean, Joshua Jr., Damien, Devion, Keyonau and Leyonau; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Michael was also predeceased by his brother Robert. Funeral services will be held 6:00pm Wednesday February 23, 2011, at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematorium. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to help support Michael?s children c/o the funeral home.
