Obituary of Carole G. Fountain

Carole G. Fountain, age 69, of Broadalbin passed away on Saturday February 19, 2011 at her home. She was born in Gloversville, NY on November 11, 1941 the daughter of Catherine Vanoss Fountain and the late Robert E. Fountain. Carole was a graduate of the Broadalbin Central School and obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College. She is a former member of the Saratoga Church of the Nazarene. Carole worked for Ellis Hospital in Schenectady for 35 years. During those 35 years at Ellis she was the head nurse in pediatrics and a charge nurse for the infants intensive care unit. Following her time at Ellis, Carole worked for Dr. Michael Sheridan in Amsterdam. Carole was very fond of cats. She will be missed by all who knew her. Carole is survived by her mother, Catherine Fountain of Broadalbin, a brother, Richard W. Fountain Patricia of Broadalbin, two nephews, Robert C. Fountain and Matthew A. Fountain as well as one great niece, Catherine M. Fountain. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday February 21, 2011 at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin with the Reverend Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place in Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Carole to the James Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
