Obituary of Lucy A. Shuler

Lucy A. Shuler, 85 years old, of S. Shore Road, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at the Stratton V. A. Medical Center in Albany, NY. She was born March 2, 1925 in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of Sanford A. and Lina Bostwick Shuler and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1943. Lucy served with the U.S. Marine Corps during WW2. She moved to NYC after the war where she accepted a position with Hearst Magazines. Lucy returned to the Amsterdam area and built her retirement home in Edinburg where she resided until the time of her death. She is survived by two brothers Sanford A. Shuler, Jr. and John Shuler. Funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. Memorial contributions may be made: Montgomery Co. SPCA, P.O.
