Obituary of Tina Marie Suits

Tina M. Suits, age 33, of Gloversville passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at her home. She was born in Gloversville, NY on May 20, 1977 the daughter of Robert and Linda Schermerhorn Suits. Tina graduated from Mayfield High School in 1995. During her senior year, Tina was the student director of the school's drama production. Tina was employed by Aspen Dental in Saratoga Springs, NY. Tina had a zest for life. She enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, sunbathing, NASCAR, shopping, camping and softball. Tina loved the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. Tina lived life to the fullest, and could always be counted on to be there for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her blue eyes and her never-ending smile. She will me missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Tina is survived by her boyfriend of many years, John Hodgson of Gloversville, a brother, Jeremy Suits Michelle of Boiling Springs, NC, maternal grandmother, June Becker, paternal grandmother, Anna Suits as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Tina was preceded in death by two maternal grandfathers, George Schermerhorn, Robert Rumrill and a paternal grandfather, Raymond Suits. Family and friends are invited and may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 1, 2011 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 2, 2011 at the Foothill United Methodist Church, 17 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Rev. Terrence O'Neill officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in memory of Tina to the Pediatric Asthma Coalition of the Capital Region, 920 Lark Drive, Albany, NY 12207 or to a charity of one's choice.
