Obituary of Ronald J. Paige

Ronald J. Paige, 78, of Mayfield passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011. He was born January 28, 1933 in Schenectady, the son of the late James and Marguerite Nitschke Paige. An avid outdoorsman, Ron loved fishing, hunting and watching and photographing birds. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed collecting firearms and was a talented gunsmith. Ron also liked making homemade jams and jellies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be very sadly missed. Survivors include his wife of forty three years, Beverly Paige of Mayfield; four sons: Jeff Paige of TN, Carl Paige of NY, Jesse Paige of Johnstown and Darrin Newkirk of Mayfield; six daughters: Shirley Benedict of TN, Susan Paige of TN, Colleen Moe of GA, Jennifer Sturgess of TN, Diane Casey of Tribes Hill and Denise Gannon of Gloversville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and two nieces. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Paige. There will be no calling hours or services at this time.
