Obituary of Isabelle Durrin

Isabelle I. Durrin, age 58, of Gloversville, died Tuesday morning, April 19, 2011 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility where she has resided since 1990. She was born April 21, 1952 in Lykers, NY, the daughter of Richard Vogel and Mina VanValkenburgh Vogel. Prior to her illness she enjoyed walking, reading, crocheting, solving puzzles and photography. She was of Baptist faith. Survivors include: a son, Nathan Durrin Carrie of Gloversville; her mother, Mina Sweet of Gloversville; seven brothers and sisters, Mildred Fonda John of Gloversville, Paul Vogel Tammy of Broadalbin, Neal Sweet of Gloversville, Susan Goodell Bob of Arizona, Jean Lamphere Glenn of Stratford, Dean Sweet Michelle of Mayfield and Mina Denton of Mayfield; three grandchildren, Isabella Durrin, Allison Durrin and Tyler Durrin; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by: a brother, Richard Vogel , a sister, Margaret Andrest and her stepfather, Joseph Sweet. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 22 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Peter R. Ellis officiating. Interment will take place at Freysbush Cemetery, Town of Minden. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 115 Hardwood Lane, Rochester, NY 14616.
