Obituary of Ruth Mary Humphrey

Mrs. Ruth Mary Humphrey, 64 of Perth, died Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1947 in Yonkers, N.Y., daughter of the late Phillip and Edith Van Scoy Faingnaert. Ruth graduated Blessed Sacrament Academy in Yonkers and played basketball while in school. She had been employed as a bank teller in Yonkers prior to motherhood. A beloved homemaker and grandmother, she was an excellent role model, always relating her deep belief in family values. Along with her late husband, Ruth had been self-employed for the past 23 years with Triple H Boarding Kennel in Perth. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter Christine Matuk-Lockwood of Perth and son-in-law Norman Lockwood. She is also survived by two brothers; David Faingnaert and wife Paula of Yonkers and Danny Faingnaert and wife Marilyn of PA. Ruth also leaves her granddaughters Jessica and Catherine Matuk and great granddaughters Ava Brosch and Baylei Clouthier as well as a cousin Don of Gloversville, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her Husband Robert Lee Humphrey in 2009. A memorial celebration will take place at her home 136 Humphrey Lane in Perth on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 2 pm. with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Funeral arrangements gave been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
