Obituary of Walter Allen

Mr. Walter G. Allen, 43, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday at Albany Medical Center following a long illness. He was born November 13, 1967 in Gloversville, son of Bonnie Reynolds Allen and the late Walter Allen. He was educated in Gloversville schools. Mr. Allen enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and gardening. A football fan, he loved being with family and friends. He was a well known joker to all who knew him. Walter worked at various area businesses including Lexington , Crown Co., Friendly's and School House Pools. He had been disabled due to ill health for some time. In addition to his mother of Gloversville, he is survived by two sons: Andrew Allen of Gloversville and Glen Allen of Plattsburgh. He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Mark Vadnais of Ballston Spa, Daniel Allen, Duane Allen, Teresa Allen, Lori Allen and Roxanne Tyrrell all of Gloversville. Walter is survived by his fiancée Cindy Morehouse of Gloversville , nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9;30 to 11;30 am at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
