Obituary of John R. Green

Mr. John R. Green, 52, of West Prospect Street, Fonda, NY died peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2011 following a short illness. Born in Milford, CT he was the son of the late Charles E. Green and Virginia Stevens Green Kefauver John attended local schools and was employed by Kasson & Keller in the shipping department until the onset of his illness. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and playing recreational outdoor sports. Above all he loved his family and spending time with them. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Kefauver; three sons, Raymond Green of Broadalbin, NY John Green and his fiancé Alicia Coppernoll of Fonda, NY and Christopher Green of Fonda, NY; one brother, Michael Kefauver of Tennessee; three sisters, Darlene Flansburg and her husband Bruce of Florida, Cathy Williams and her husband Dale of Fonda, NY and Jennifer Warner and her husband John of Mayfield, NY; three granddaughters, Rhiley, Kendra and Raelyn Green; one grandson, Cameron; his former wife, Pattie Green; his best friend, Adriane; and several, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Charles and a brother, Raymond Green. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 6 o'clock at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the services beginning at 4 o'clock. Donations may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
