Obituary of Clarence E. Hayes

Clarence E. Hayes, 72, of Fonda passed away on May 12, 2011 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born December 19, 1938 in Gloversville, the son of Harry and Edna Allen Hayes. ?Skip? was a life time resident of the area and attended local schools. He worked on his family?s farm in his younger days then went onto working construction. He enjoyed hunting, cutting fire wood, trying his luck at the casino. He also had a few animals he raised as a hobby. Most of all he liked to spend time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hayes of Gloversville, three sons, Clarence Hayes and Terry Hayes of Johnstown, and Roger Hayes of Whitesboro, NY; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his brothers Gary Sharon Hayes and Robert Jean Hayes of Johnstown. He is also survived by an aunt, Arbutus Henry, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to join a grave side service of remembrance that will take place Monday, May 16, 2011 at 2 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda, NY.
