Obituary of Maryann E. Pabis

Maryann E. Pabis, 38, of Silver Leaf Ct. Cockeysville, Maryland, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away early Friday morning May 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 14, 1973 a daughter of Robert S. and Barbara Countryman Pabis. She was a 1991 graduate of Amsterdam High School. She went on to attend College at Herkimer County Community College. She moved to Maryland in July of 2007. She worked for a time for Martin's Catering in Baltimore. Maryann also recently attended school for Massage Therapy in Maryland until her illness. She was a communicant of the former St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She is survived by her parents Barbara and Robert Pabis of Amsterdam, NY. One daughter, Stephanie M. Masterpolo of Amsterdam. One son, Gaetano M. Masterpolo of Maryland. One brother, Mark R. Pabis and his wife Tracey of Ft. Johnson, NY. One sister Christine M. Mercandante and her husband Joel of Amsterdam. Nieces and Nephews, David , Stephen and Jenelle Pabis, Jason and Amanda Fisher. She leaves behind her special pet cat "September". Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Maryann was predeceased by a sister Julie A. Pabis who passed away in 1970. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at 8:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15A.M. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, East Main St. Amsterdam, NY with Rev. John Medwid as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday May 16, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
