Obituary of Marguerite A. Kenison
Marguerite A. Kenison, age 86, formerly of Glens Falls passed away on Monday May 16, 2011 at her daughters home.
She was born on August 4, 1924 in Gloversville, NY the daughter of the late James and Camille Togni Wager.
On February 13, 1944, Marguerite married Louis Kenison. They shared over 64 years united in marriage, until his passing on January 18, 2009.
Marge was school bus driver for the Mohonasen Central School District before retiring. She enjoyed camping, traveling all over in their mobile home, knitting and reading. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Marguerite is survived by her children: Marguerite Mock of Broadalbin, John M. Kenison Barbara of Lake George, Pam Cobb Roger of Rotterdam, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Additional survivors include a brother, James Wager Jr. as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by three children, Louis Mark Kenison, Jean Marie DeVoe, David James Kenison and a great grandson Robert Belfance.
Friends and relatives are invitied and may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 19, 2011 at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin. A prayer service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. following the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Owen Shanley officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Schenectady Memorial Park, 566 Giffords Church Road, Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marguerite to the Ronald McDonald House, 139 South Lake Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
