Obituary of Gerald D. Cook

Mr. Gerald D. "Bub" Cook, 70, of Lusso Road, Town of Glen died on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at home. Born on February 28, 1941 he was the son of the late Arthur K. Cook and Eula Hogan. Bub enjoyed camping and going to garage sales with his wife Betty. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. On June 30, 1962, he was united married Betty Lou Love Cook. That union lasted 46 years until her passing on October 10, 2008. He was also predeceased by his brother, Phil Cook and a daughter, Kathleen M. Robinson. Bub was employed for Mohawk Dairy in Amsterdam for many years as well as the White Mop Wringer Company in Fultonville. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include three children; two sons Jeffrey D. Cook of Fultonville and David A. Cook Patti of Fultonville; one daughter, Terri Cook of Fultonville; a sister, Donna Leslie and her husband Gordon of Florida; a son-in-law Bill Robinson of Randall; 7 grandchildren, Lynan, Billy, Gerry, Matthew, Cassandra, Justin and Savannah; one great granddaughter, Arianna; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial graveside service to be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 3:00 PM at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty and Kathleen's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY.
