Obituary of Florence M. Waite

Florence M. Waite, age 83, of Hanover, VA passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Florence was born on December 14, 1927. She was a 42-year member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Doswell, VA. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Doswell Rutian Club. Florence is survived by three sisters: Muriel Schlicht, Roselyn Dybowski, Laura Ann Zagata, three brothers: Ralph Walsh, William Walsh, and Charles Walsh, a son Donald Waite, three daughters -Carol Brown, Joyce Morgan, and Deborah Koeneman, two step daughters Ruth Ann Kilmartin and Sandra Lais. Additional survivors include: 12 grandchildren Gwendolyn Waite, Donald Waite, Jr., Eric Waite, Mary Long, Amy Stills, Jennifer Tignor, Jason Morgan, Lucas Morgan, Jessica Evans, Shannon Anderson, Shawn Batty, Michelle Brooks, 20 great grandchildren-Austin Waite, Briarsc, Henry Waite, Parker Waite, James Long, Justin Long, Austin Stills, Thomas Stills, Andrew Stills, Aaron Tignor, Harlee Tignor, Tyler Morgan, Madison Morgan, Madeline Morgan, Lauryn Morgan, Denver Evans, Wayland Evans, Noah Anderson, Zachary Anderson and Donivansc. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Homer G Waite, a son Gary Allen, 5 sisters-Mildred Walsh, Edna Peirce, Wanetta Klingbeil, Dorothy Walsh, Rose Marie, three brothers: Raymond Walsh, Ward Walsh and Harold Walsh. Family and friends are invited and may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Kathy Reese officiating. Interment will take place in Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin.
