Obituary of Mary C. Paul

Mrs. Mary C. Johnson Paul, age 80, of Johnstown, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, following a brief illness. She was born May 23, 1931 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Anson and Margaret Sitterly Johnson. She was employed for more than 30 years at the former Espey Electronics Company in Gloversville. Mary was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Gloversville Women of the Moose and the Foresters Lodge. Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Francis "Frank" L. Paul of Johnstown, whom she married August 21, 1954; a brother, Richard Johnson Dorothy of Johnstown; a sister, Diane Bauer of Johnstown; a daughter-in-law, Denise Paul of Westmere; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, David F. Paul. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Cynthia J. VanAllen officiating. Interment will take place at King Cemetery, Northampton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211.
