Obituary of Joseph L. Fountain

Joseph L. Fountain, 50, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Mountain Valley Hospice. He was born May 2, 1961 in Gloversville, the son of the late Robert and Pearlie Mae Killmartin Fountain, Sr. Joseph enjoyed camping and fishing. He especially liked fishing on Lake Ontario for king salmon. He also loved cookouts in the backyard with family and friends. He will be very sadly missed. Survivors include his life companion, Emma Hamm of Gloversville; three brothers: Hank Fountain of Gloversville, Robert Fountain, Jr. Beverly of Gloversville and Timmy VanKleeck Amanda of Rochester; three sisters: Caroline Freeman of Gloversville, Lena Fountain of Gloversville and Susie McGillis of Meco; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by two brothers: Ronald Fountain and Donald Fountain. Family and friends are invited and may call Saturday, June 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Cremation will take place at ParkView Crematorium in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave. Gloversville, NY 12078.
