Obituary of Kenneth H. Lee

Kenneth H. Lee, age 90, of Broadalbin passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Kenneth was born in Charlton, NY on November 20, 1920 the son of the late James H. and Florence Noonan Lee. On May 23, 1943, Kenneth married Evelyn J. Abrams. They have shared 68 years untied in marriage. Kenneth served his country proudly from 1942 until 1946 in the U.S. Army Air Force. While in the service, Kenneth was a radio operator on board B-25 bombers and was stationed in North Africa as well as Italy. Following his time in the service, Kenneth worked for Mohawk Carpet Company for 25 years and the Laborers Local 157 in Schenectady for an additional 20 years. He was and avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he enjoyed taking care of his family. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn J. Lee of Broadalbin, a son, Jim Lee of Broadalbin, a daughter, Pam Christophersen Craig Osgood of Clifton Park and a sister, Marilyn Davis of Troy. Additional survivors include: several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers Harold and George Lee. Services for Kenneth are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Kenneth to a charity of one?s choice.
