Obituary of Paul S. Anderson

Paul S. Anderson, 61, of Ocala, Florida, passed away at home on Thursday, June 9th, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Connie Davison Anderson, originally from Mayfield, New York; his mother, Hermine PatAnderson of Fultonville, NY; two brothers: Robert Anderson and wife, Anne of Pinehurst, North Carolina and John Anderson and wife, Linda of Fultonville, NY; one sister Jean Anderson Leonard and husband, Thomas of Amsterdam, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Robert C. Anderson, and two nephews, Scott Anderson and Lance Anderson. Paul was born in Amsterdam and raised in Glen, New York. He graduated from Fonda-Fultonville Central School and Lakemont Academy in Lakemont, New York. After attending the University of Colorado in Boulder, he worked for many years at the family business, Anderson Instrument Company in Glen. In 1992, he started Bless Your Hearth Chimney Service, which he later moved to Piedmont, South Carolina. He was very involved in the National Chimney Sweep Guild, teaching and making new associates and good friends. In 2007, Paul retired and sold his business and home. He and his wife Connie moved into an RV and traveled the country. They joined the Escapees RV Club, making many more new friends. In 2009, they settled in their current home in Ocala, Florida. In addition to traveling, Paul also enjoyed hunting and playing golf. Calling hours will be held at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home in Fultonville, NY, on Saturday, July 23rd from 1-2 pm, followed immediately by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paul's name to the Chimney Safety Institute of America, 2155 Commercial Drive, Plainfield, IN 46168 or to the Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474.
