Obituary of Frances Gugliemelli

Mrs. Frances Gugliemelli, 75, of Amsterdam, passed away Friday June 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Norwich, VT on November 15, 1935 a daughter of Samuel Bez and Josephine Tkagut. She was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. Frances worked for many years at the former Chief Textiles in Amsterdam as a seamstress. She was also employed at St. Mary's Hospital for a number of years. She enjoyed playing bingo and being with her family. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith. She married Maurizio Gugliemelli on July 18, 1954, he passed away in 1989. Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Youngs of Amsterdam. Three sons, Frank Gugliemelli of Virginia, Maurice "Moe" Gugliemelli of Gloversville, NY and Michael Gugliemelli of Maryland. One brother Joseph Bez of Amsterdam. Ten grandchildren, Richard Youngs Casey, Michelle Reilly Kevin, Dennis and Kayla Youngs, Candace, Nicholas, Anthony and Ava Gugliemelli, Allyson and Rebecca Gugliemelli. Eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins survive. She was predeceased by a sister Mary Stabinski on August 20, 2008 and a son-in-law, Richard D. Youngs on August 27, 2005. Graveside committal services will be held on Saturday June 18, 2011 at 1:00P.M. at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY with Father O. Robert DeMartinis presiding. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
