Obituary of Edith R. Musillo Cohen

Edith R. Musillo Cohen, 78, of Tanner Rd. passed away Thursday morning at Ellis Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on December 14, 1932, she was the last surviving child of Giannbatiste and Maria Maddelena Carretta Musillo. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary's Institute. Edith worked and trained for a time as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital . Later, after her children were grown she worked as a sales associate at the former Holzheimer and Shaul in Amsterdam for the Fox family. While living in Amsterdam, she was a communicant of St. Casimir's Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and St. Stanislaus School PTA. Following her move to Clifton Park nearly thirty five years ago, she was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church. She leaves her beloved husband Marvin B. Cohen, her loving children; Vincent J. Rob Meyer Rossi, Maria L. James Ostrowski all of Clifton Park; Mitchell D. Rossi of Scotia, Annette David Saunders of Saratoga Springs, Paul S. Renee DuBoise Rossi of Mayfield, NY, step daughters; Terri Moore of Illinois, and Corri Dr. Luke Parrinello of Pittsburgh, PA; she adored her grandchildren; Mikhail, Madalena and Aidan Ostrowski, Daniel, Harrison, Mason, Evelina and Isabella Rossi, Raffaela, Anna and Tristan Saunders, Luca Marc Rossi-Meyer, Jason, Danielle and Matthew Moore, Erica and Zachary Parrinello, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joan and Gary Adelson of Niskayuna, NY; cousins Sal and Dominic Famularo, dear friend, Grace Tambasco of Amsterdam, NY; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear son Frankie, brothers John, Carmen and William Musillo; sisters, Margaret Chirico, Antoinette Martin, Domenica Goodbred and Eda Musillo. The Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Edward The Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park. Entombment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4-7 pm on Monday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
