Obituary of Yvonne C. Huxhold

Yvonne C. Huxhold, 82, of Deerfield Lane, The Villages, Florida, passed away Sunday June 19, 2011 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility in Gloversville, NY. Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 22, 1929 the daughter of Marvin and Mildred Backus Vilendrer. Yvonne loved traveling, singing and dancing, and theater, but most of all, spending time with her family. She worked as a secretary for over 20 years for Union College in Schenectady NY for the Modern Languages Department. She was a frequent visitor of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam and a member of Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages, Florida. She married William John Huxhold June 6, 1953; he passed away on January 19, 2003. Yvonne was also predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Gail Huxhold; one brother Donald Vilendrer, and one sister Andrea Donovan. Survivors include two sons, David W. Huxhold of Galway, NY and Scott A. Huxhold Janice DiMarco of Coral Springs, FL and two daughters, Cheryl Huxhold of Fultonville, NY and Kristy Huxhold of Wilmington, DE. One brother, Kurt Vilendrer Claire of Ocala, Florida. Three sisters, Marlene Faust Herb of The Villages, Florida, Sharon Leide of Aurora, Illinois and Sandra Hering Tom of Norcross, Georgia. Grandchildren, Amy Auspelmyer Brian, Lisa Janetsky, Erin Abele Chris, Harley Huxhold and Luke Huxhold. Three great-grandchildren, Hayden and Ethan Auspelmyer and Addison Abele. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 24, 2011 at 11:00A.M. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Rev. Dennis Meyer presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday June 23, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children's Fund c/o the funeral home office.
