Obituary of Harry H. Kilmartin

Harry H. Kilmartin, 92, formerly of Currytown Rd., Sprakers, NY, passed away Wednesday June 22, 2011 at the Palatine Nursing Home in Palatine Bridge, NY. Born in Esperance, NY on November 2, 1918 the son of Harrison and Mabel Turbush Kilmartin. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Mr. Kilmartin worked for many years on his family farm in Charleston, NY and later became a carpenter and was employed for Peter Johansen before his retirement in 1970. Harry was of the Protestant Faith and he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He married Dorothy R. Rose Kilmartin on March 23, 1940. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by two sons, Dennis Kilmartin Bonnie and Timothy C. Kilmartin both of Randall, NY. One brother, Kenneth Kilmartin of Charleston, NY and one sister, Evelyn Rose of Fonda, NY. Two grandchildren, Joshua Kilmartin Elizabeth and Tonya Rhinehardt. Five great-grandchildren, Rebeckah, Jacqueline, Breona, Gracie and Adrian. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Harry was predeceased by a daughter Doris Ann Kilmartin and two brothers, Floyd Kilmartin and Roy Kilmartin and a sister, Alberta Horton. A Graveside funeral service will be held on Monday June 27, 2011 at 11:00A.M. at Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville, NY. There are no calling hours.
