Obituary of Helen McGrath

Helen McGrath, 85, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born January 31, 1926 in Middletown, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Theresa Hinky McGrath. Helen enjoyed shopping and eating out at local restaurants. She also enjoyed reading magazines and watching old television shows. She loved flowers and birds. Helen will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her friends and staff members of her Lexington Center family in Gloversville. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by a sister, Mary Eltz. Friends are invited and may call Friday, July 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. R. W. Williams presiding. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville. Donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Lexington Center, 127 East State Street, Gloversville, NY, 12078.
