Obituary of Jeffrey Casline

Jeff was a 1967 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and later received an Associate?s Degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Electrical Engineering. He then began his career with the General Electric Company which spanned forty years before he retired in 2010. Jeff was known to be very patriotic, and stated that he was still happiest when he was right here in the great USA. He was a proud member of the NRA and the First Baptist Church in Amsterdam. Jeff had three great loves starting with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and the best ?Ompa Jeff? any grandchild could ask for. He most recently started a Friday morning breakfast ritual with his grandchildren which he looked forward to every week. Jeff?s collection of motor vehicles was known to all as his second love with the Village of Fort Johnson not far behind. He spent his entire life there, having his own house built across the street from his childhood home. On June 2, 1990 he was joyfully united in marriage to the former Debra Owens. In addition to his beloved wife, Jeff leaves behind his loving daughters; Ashley and her husband Neil Walton of Tribes Hill and Chandra and her husband Shaun Cotter of Johnstown. He also leaves behind two adoring grandchildren; Tyler and Kamryn Walton, and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of two more grandchildren on the way.
