Obituary of Sheila Penney

Sheila Penney, age 55, of Gloversville passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 5, 2011. She was born on February 17, 1956 in New York City, the daughter of the Antoinette Filandi Rathan and the late Norral Rathan. Sheila was employed by Upstate Lutheran Synod in Amsterdam as a secretary for many years. Sheila will be remembered for her undying love for all animals whether they were wild animals or pets. Sheila is survived by her mother, Antoinette Rathan of Gloversville and also by her former husband, Ted Penney, also of Gloversville. Services for Sheila will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
