Obituary of Paul J. Fitzsimmons

Paul J. Fitzsimmons, 57, of Wall Street, Amsterdam died suddenly on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home. Born on September 10, 1953 he was the son of the late Edward and Violet Teetsel Fitzsimmons. Paul was a laborer for many various companies in the area. Most recently he was employed for Twin Rivers in Schenectady, NY as a fabric worker. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and had many friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his company. Survivors include his siblings, two brothers, Edward Fitzsimmons of Providence, RI and Brian Fitzsimmons and his wife Sandy of Amsterdam, NY; four sisters, Gloria DeNice and her husband Robert of Schenectady, NY, Rose Fitzsimmons of Amsterdam, NY, Patricia Brasmeister and her husband Roy, Sr. of Pattersonville, NY and Cathy Fitzsimmons and her life partner Charles Manning of Providence, RI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11 o'clock at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. Interment will follow in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
