Obituary of Betty Lomanto

Mrs. Betty Lomanto, 86, formerly of Gloversville, passed away Thursday July 28, 2011. Mrs. Lomanto was born August 13, 1925 in Gloversville, daughter of the late Louis and Carmella Passero Perrone. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and employed as a glove worker and also a secretary at FMCC. Most of her life Betty was a homemaker. She was also a former member of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by her husband Salvatore Lomanto whom she married April 17, 1949. Betty is also survived by four grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by a son, Dr. Donald S. Lomanto in 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Monday August 1, 2011 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 149 S. Main St. Gloversville. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
