Obituary of Nikki Lee Preston
Mrs. Nikki Lee Preston, 39, of Union Mills Road, Broadalbin, NY died peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Amsterdam, NY on December 8, 1971 she was the daughter of Terrance Larman and Judith Gray Pasek.
A lifelong area resident, Nikki attended city schools and went on to attend college at FMCC, The College of Saint Rose and later Empire State. She was employed as a project manager for Malone & Tate Builders in Schenectady, NY for the last 10 years.
A devoted wife and mother, Nikki was involved in several community organizations. She volunteered and worked ambitiously with the Broadalbin-Perth school district and the Broadalbin Baptist Church. She enjoyed family vacations, especially to Disney World and spending time in her garden. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her spirit of giving and legacy of love will live on in all the lives she touched and she will be missed by many.
Survivors include her parents; her husband, Ralph Lynn Preston, Jr., whom she married on January 12, 2003; her children, Alayna Nicole Preston and Chandler James Preston; step sons, Jordan M. Preston and Jared M. Preston; her brother, Shane F. Larman; her sister, Michelle Morley Sandmeier; her grandfather, Frank Larman; sisters in law, Rebecca J. Preston and Misty J. Preston; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11 o'clock at the Broadalbin Baptist Church, 40 West Main Street, Broadalbin, NY. Interment with a Balloon Release will follow in the Broadalbin Union Rural Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 4 until 8p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam where her arrangements have been entrusted.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Broadalbin Baptist Church: Nikki Preston Foundation, in care of the funeral home office.
