Obituary of William F. Frey

Mr. William F. Frey, Jr., 88 years old of Jockeyville Road, died Monday at Albany Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1922 in Elmhurst, N.Y., Queens County. Mr. Frey served his country as a Sergeant with the U. S. Army Air Corps during WW2. He was stationed in Naples, Italy. Mr. Frey, along with his father, moved to Johnstown, NY in September of 1960 where they owned and operated Frey's Liquor Store. In 1972 he went to work for the Joint Waste Water Treatment Plant. He retired in March of 1985. Mr. Frey is survived by his wife, the former Dona M. Morehouse, whom he married in March of 1976; two step daughters Barbara Tom Martin of Ballston Lake and Jane Joseph Havel of Johnstown, his step son Terry Susan Bendl of Vienna, Austria, his brother Walter Frey of Tupper Lake, his sister Mildred Gould of S. Carolina, a step granddaughter, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Johnstown. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Gerald H.B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematorium in Schenectady. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
