Obituary of Patricia M. Hallenbeck

Patricia M. Hallenbeck, age 79, of Gloversville passed away on Thursday September 1, 2011 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility in Gloversville, NY. She was born in Gloversville, NY on October 17, 1931 the daughter of the late Harold and Magdelena Helwig Johnson. On June 26, 1948, Patricia married Edwin M. Hallenbeck. They shared 60 years united in marriage until his passing on November 23, 2008. Patricia was a member of the North Main Street United Methodist Church as well as a long time member of the choir?s of the North Main Street United Methodist Church and St. James Lutheran Church. Patricia was a homemaker by trade. She was a member of the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxillary and the Fulton County Board of Elections. In her childhood years she sang on various radio stations. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and butterflies. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially at the family get togethers. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Patricia is survived by: two sons: Michael P. Hallenbeck Michelle of Northville and Marc E. Hallenbeck Linda of Gloversville; two daughters: Susan C. Judge John of Palm Harbor, FL. and Lynda J. Place James of Tarpon Springs, FL.; a niece: Sharyl Sadowski; eleven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Family and friends are invited and may call from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday September 3, 2011 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the conclusion of calling hours at 5:00 p.m. with the Pastor Chris Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Patricia to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Suite 204, Albany, NY 12205 or the Alzheimer?s Association of NY, 85 Watervliet Avenue, Albany, NY 12206.
