I worked with Bob when he was with the Fulton Co Sheriff. He was trained as a Commercial Vehicle Safety Association inspector and inspected many trucks with our inspectors . He was the consummate professional. My deepest condolences to his family.

To the Johnson Families: It is with heavy heart that I am writing this. Our families have celebrated many happy times together. We loved and shared the same career as Bob, the birth of our children and, the happiness of retirement. Bill, Abby and I are thankful to have been a part of Bobby's short life.
Bob was dedicated to his family, friends, and community; he will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Mrs Johnson and family,
Words are hard to find to express the extreme sadness felt in many hearts over this tragedy. If there are any thoughts that may bring you comfort, it's that many friends are holding you close in thought and prayer. Bob was the epitome of what police officers take their oath for. I am proud to say I know first hand the intense pride and dedication a police officer has and hope you can, in time, know that Bob was acting in the heroic manner he was guided to do by his strong beliefs. Though no words can bring any of you comfort I would like to express by deepest sympathy for the loss of Bobby. I knew him from the time I was a teenager and really got to know him once I became a police officer. Bob always had something to say that would bring a smile to your face. He was a good man that will be remembered as such, in the end how we are remembered is the legacy that we leave behind and Bobby's kind acts and self sacrifice will be remembered for years to come. We are so very sorry to hear of Doc's passing. He was always so patient and kind, especially when it came to helping Jeremy with his "hole shot" on the race track. I'll never forget him playing on the swings with my Mom and Jeremy in Canada at one of the races (just one of the many memories that brings a smile to my heart)
