Obituary of Thomas V. Luciano
Thomas V. Luciano age 73 yrs. of Amsterdam passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Amsterdam on August 18, 1944 and is the son of the late Thomas A. and Amelia (Puglisi) Luciano.
He is survived by his brother Ronald (Holly) Luciano, a daughter Shana R. Storti of Florida, a sister-in-law Lynn (Robert) Smero, grandchildren Marisa and Michael of Florida, an aunt, and many cousins.
Tom was a 1963 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School, and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1966. He loved all sports, and especially enjoyed following his favorites, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Boston Red Sox. He was an avid bowler in many leagues for 25 yrs. in Amsterdam and Gloversville.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday March 9, 2018 at 11 am at St. Stephen's Catholic Church 51 N. Pawling Street, Hagaman, NY 12086 with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis the Celebrant, with a burial to take place in the spring time in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Homes 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
The family wishes to especially thank the nursing staff of Maria hall for the kindness and compassion shown to Tom while he was a patient in their care.
