Obituary of Sandra J. Rudin

Sandra J. Rudin, 87, a resident of Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, Albany, NY died on March 13, 2018. Born in Rochester, NY on November 19, 1930, she was the daughter of James and Harriet Rappaport Proctor. Mrs. Rudin was a Registered Nurse. She lived in Rochester until moving to Rexford in 2003 to be closer to her family. On June 6, 1953, Sandra J. Proctor married Richard S. Rudin. He predeceased her on December 3, 2012, after 59 years of marriage. Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa J. Fox of South Carolina and Randie Rudin Salmon (Del) of Niskayuna; her three grandchildren, Benjamin Salmon (Emily Cooper) of New Jersey, Stephen Salmon (Amanda) of Utah, and Hannah Salmon of Niskayuna; and her four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Sydney, Hayley, and Beckett Salmon, of New Jersey. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Whitehaven Cemetery, Rochester, New York. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Randie and Del Salmon, 80 Pheasant Ridge, Niskayuna, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Shiva service commencing at 7 p.m. Mrs. Rudin's family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff of the Blue Unit for the love, nurturing, and professional care they provided Mrs. Rudin.
