Obituary of Leila Jean White

Leila Jean (Cheney) White, 85, formerly of Trackside Homes died Monday January 1st, 2018 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home after a long illness. Leila was preceded in death by her husband Calvin White, son George White, mother Laura (Ropeter) Morrison, father Antone Cheney, sister Hilda (Cheney) Decker, brothers Robert Cheney, and Antone Cheney Jr. She is survived by daughters JoAnn Dickenson of St. Johnsville, and Nancy Thomsen of Greenville, South Carolina. She had ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Leila was formerly an avid bowler, loved crafts, gardening, and cooking. She especially enjoyed camping and fishing. There will be a graveside service of her cremains in the springtime in the family plot of the Northville Cemetery.
