Obituary of Paula A. Kreisel

Paula A. Kreisel, R.N. age 61 yrs., of Amsterdam, passed away on January 13, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born on February 21, 1956 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of Laura M. (Coppernoll) Coulter, and the late Harold M. Coulter. Paula graduated from Schalmont High School and after earning her nursing degree from HVCC, Paula began her career at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, where she retired after 23 years of devoted, caring service. Paula served three years as Auxiliary, President for Woestina Little League in support of the league and her loving nephews that she referred to as "My Boys". She was also a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary. Paula loved the outdoors, watching wildlife and spending time with her family. Besides her father, Paula was predeceased by her precious infant daughter Laura and her loving husband, David E. Kreisel, Sr. who passed away October 11, 2016. She is survived by her brother, Richard (JoAnn) Coulter of Pattersonville, her step children, David (Amy) Kreisel of Amsterdam, Shauna Deuseler (Josh Petitt) of Broadalbin, and Kelly (Tony) Carr of Warner Robbins, GA; her nephews, Eric (Amber) Coulter, Ryan Coulter and Cody (Roxanne) Coulter; her great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Delaney and Cora Coulter, and her grandchildren, Gunner and Quinn Kreisel, Gavin and Haley Deuseler, and Katelynn and Brayden Carr. She is also survived by her Aunt Lorrene and many cousins and friends. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2:30 to 4 PM, that will begin with a service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
