Obituary of Carl Bills

Carl Bills, 76, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born on December 6, 1947 in Lake George to the late William Sr. and Mary (Laplache) Bills.

On November 19, 1977 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Rulison of Gloversville, with whom he has shared the past 46 years.

Carl worked in the Gloversville area for many years, primarily at the Liberty Leather Mill in Gloversville. In his free time, Carl could often be found tinkering and building things in his workshop, going for drives along back roads, or fishing. 

Above all else, Carl's family was most important to him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jeanette; his daughters, Carlena (Gary) Rafferty, Tina (Brian Shevee) Murray, and Becky (Scott) Jones; his siblings, William Bills Jr., Kevin Baker, Wayne Baker, and Darlene (Tom) Beyer; his many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as his beloved canine companion, Precious.
     
Family and friends are invited, and may call on Monday, June 24 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York 12078, with a sharing of remembrances to follow the calling time.  Carl will be buried at a later date, when he is reunited with Jeanette.
