Obituary of Ana Esther Castillo
On January 22, 1947, a star was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and she was named Ana Esther.
Ana, also known as Lily, grew up in Brooklyn, New York as the oldest of four children. A big sister to Lydia (Gigi), Cristobal Jr (Tobin) & Lydia (Nana). Ana had many roles in life as a daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, friend, factory and daycare worker, a PTA volunteer as well as a Eucharist Minister but her greatest and most rewarding role was that of a wife, mother and grandmother.
Ana met the love of her life at the age of twenty and she married Elvin two years later on June 29,1968. Together they have built a wonderful family full of memorable blessings for 56 years. Through this unconditional and eternal love, three daughters: Ana, Marisol and Jessica along with four grandchildren: Alexis, Matthew, Jaelene and Jonathan, have made their lives and hearts complete.
On May 23, 2024 our heavenly Father called Ana home. Ana will continue to shine her light on the many lives she touched, the many she loved and loved her but more so her legacy will live on with the memories we have been blessed with.
