Obituary of John DeWitt Widdemer Jr.

John D. Widdemer, Jr., son of Lois and John Widdemer, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2024.  He was born August 20, 1963, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.  He attended Gloversville Schools, Deerfield Academy, and Northwestern University. He joined the family business, Bali Leathers, where he traveled internationally as he developed Bali’s new innovative products.  John was well known for his love of genealogy, gardening, and architectural history.  John spent summers at Canada Lake following a generational tradition.  John is survived by his mother, Lois Widdemer, siblings: Pam Kersey (Dallas) and Susan Harrington (Keith), and nieces Anne Kokemor (Bill) and Kate Harrington and grandniece Haley Kokemor.  His father, John D. Widdemer predeceased him.
