Obituary of Charles Lusso

Charles A. Lusso died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at River Ridge Living Center.

Born on April 7, 1937, to Leon and Mabel (Bobby) Penner Lusso.

Charles started school in the Van Wie District County School, then went to Fultonville School; he graduated in 1954 from Fonda Fultonville Central School.

He worked on The Home Farm on Lusso Road and later at Fern Carron Machinery. Charles went to work for the Town of Glen Highway Dept. and was elected Highway Superintendent from 1988-1994. He later worked for Coddington Lumber.

Charles married Kathryn Friers on July 16, 1983, until her passing on May 26, 2020.

He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother, Norman and his wife, Janet; his sister, Mary and her husband, Larry Fertich; and his sister Joan Quick.

Survivors include his niece, Beth and nephew, William Fertich; Uncle, Ralph (Bub) Penner; cousins and brothers in law.

A graveside service for Charles will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2pm at Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville.

Memorial dentations in Charles’ name can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Charles’ care has been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville.
