Obituary of Laura J. Guyette

Laura J. Guyette, age 88, of Johnstown, went home with the Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Home, St Johnsville.

She was born November 25, 1935, in Gloversville, the daughter of Leonard and Emma (Walter) Henderson. She was employed as a glove maker at various factories in the area. She loved to draw, paint and take care of her various gardens. She loved her family, and her faith was a very important part of her life. 

Laura is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leo Guyette; two children, Debra M. Maryanopolis (John) and Peter Guyette (Lori); six grandchildren, Kimberly Maryanopolis, Chris Guyette, Caden Guyette, C.J. Guyette, Chyanne Guyette and Kyle Guyette; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by all of her siblings.

A private memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.

Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
