Our deepest sympathy to the Nelson family in their loss. It is easy to see how Betsy was precious, to everyone who knew her.
It must have been in 1978 or 79 that I traveled to Pattersonville and experienced the gracious hospitality of the Nelson family. Betsy and my dad (Jim Gordon, Cook, Minnesota) were cousins. Betsy was able to share family history of the Gordon/Elder connection with me and they showed me the old James Gordon farm site (my dad's grandfather's last home) and some of the family resting places. It was a wonderful and memorable visit. I was always keen on family history and once in awhile, Betsy would continue to point me in a direction to find more information. It was so good of Betsy to stay in touch with me.
I am not on FB, but I like to check out the Dellavale Farm public FB posts because we also have a dairy farm.
