Obituary of Elmer C. Young

Elmer C. Young, age 77, of Gloversville, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home.

He was born March 23, 1947, in Gloversville, the son of Elmer and Eleanor (DeRocker) Young. He was employed as a concrete mason by the Gloversville Dept. of Public Works for most of his lifetime. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and trapping.

Elmer is survived by his long-time partner, Constance VanDeusen; two children, Frank Young and Amy Young; a sister, Christine Bona; a brother, Brian Young; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, David Young.

Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown
