Obituary of Anthony Marti

Anthony Marti, 48, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024 at Albany Medical Center. Anthony was born on August 19, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was raised by his parents, Pedro and Maritza (Correa) Marti.

On June 26, 1997 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Flaherty, with whom he has shared the past 26 wonderful years. Anthony and Elizabeth lived in Tampa, Florida for many years, where Anthony worked as a plumber for Bay Shore Plumbing. In 2009, the couple moved to the Amsterdam area.

Anthony loved spending time with his family, going fishing, and cracking a joke. He will be remembered for his kind heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need, in any way he could.

His loving family includes his wife, Elizabeth Marti; his children, Anthony Marti Jr., Arianna Marti, Felicita Marti, and Kyra Marti; his mother, Maritza Correa; his siblings, Glenda Vasquez, Jason Marti, Eric Nieves, Joshua Marti, and Pedro Marti; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anthony is preceded in passing by his father, Pedro Marti.

Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of Anthony's family. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 NY State HWY 5s, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
