After two years of serving in Germany, Peter returned and began working for the Amsterdam Fire Department, where he served for 35 years and retired as Battalion Chief.
Pete was happily married to his wife Marylin for 59 years before her passing in 2010. Together they raised their three children Kathleen, Pauline, and Peter.
Peter held numerous positions, not only through his careers, but as a volunteer, husband, father, and friend. Pete was known for his great sense of humor, likeable personality, and active involvement in the community. More than anything, he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Poker player and loved watching sports, especially the NY Yankees and Giants.
