Obituary of Allene Ambrosino

Allene Ambrosino, age 97, of Gloversville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at her home.

She was born April 22, 1926, in Montpieler, Kentucky, the daughter of Junious and Docia (Grant) Lawhorn. She was employed at the former family owned Ambroson Gloves for many years until it closed and later worked at Hanaford for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Allene is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Cenzano (Larry) of Gloversville and Gloria J. Riley (Mitchell) of Columbia, Tennessee; a brother, Paul Lawhorn of Indiana; a grandson, Christopher J. Cenzano (Kristie), a step-granddaughter, Kim Franks (Jeff); two great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Kalei Cenzano; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Allene was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Vincent "James" Ambrosino; and siblings, Ola Lawhorn, Fred Lawhorn, Eulene Taylor, and J.B.  Lawhorn.

A private graveside service will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating.
