Obituary of James F. Morrison Jr.

James F. Morrison, Jr., age 69, of Gloversville, died March 12, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, following a long illness.

He was born August 2, 1954, in Gloversville, the son of James and Thelma (Burgess) Morrison. He was a 1972 graduate of Gloversville High School and was employed by the Gloversville Highway Dept. for over 41 years until his retirement. Jim was a former Gloversville City Historian for many years and was a member of the Tryon County Militia. He enjoyed participating in reenactments at many historical sites.

Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Robin L. (Dalleo) Morrison; a son, James Morrison; a brother, Douglas C. Morrison (Brenda); two sisters, Cathy Rubscha and Sharon Peters; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Brian L. Morrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mountain Valley Hospice.
