Obituary of Angelina Savage
Angelina Savage of Gloversville, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on February 17, 2024.
Born September 16, 1942 to Pasquale and Elizabeth (Tascillo) Malagisi. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life John A. Savage of Auburn MA whom she married on July 26, 1969, and they raised three children, John P. Savage (Margaret), Deborah Pratt (Christopher), and Peter Savage (Deanne) and have five grandchildren, Isabelle and Parker Savage, Aiden Pratt, Jarod Were (Zulekha) and Brianna Were; and one great-grandson, Rowan Were.
Angelina graduated from Gloversville High School in 1959. She was a devoted member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and taught religious education for many years. She worked in the office of Nathan Littauer Hospital, in the accounting office of Sears and Roebuck in Gloversville and was a part time teacher's aide for the Gloversville Enlarged School District over the course of her life.
She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and most importantly took great joy from spending time with her family. She was a kind, gentle soul and gave selflessly to those fortunate to be in her presence.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Pasquale and Elizabeth (Tascillo) Malagisi, her brother Francesco Malagisi, and two sisters, Michalena DeRosa and Mary Veeder. She is survived by two other brothers, Andrew Malagisi (Cecelia) and Joseph Malagisi (Kathryn); a sister-in-law, Sally Malagisi, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Thursday, February 22nd at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Gloversville, with a con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial directly following. Spring interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to The Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S. Main St; Gloversville.
