Obituary of Leslie A. Fettinger

Leslie Ann Fettinger, of Gloversville, passed surrounded by her family on February 5th 2024 at the age of 59.

Leslie was born November 20th, 1964, the daughter of Harriet and the late Thomas Williams. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Eric; her children Dana and Scott; her brother Scott; her mother, Harriet; her nephew and several nieces; her dear friend, Jennifer Oliver; and her loving and caring extended family at the Wesley Community.

Leslie will be remembered as a friend to all. Prior to her 37-year career at the Wesley Community, Leslie was a Shenendehowa High School and SUNY Oswego graduate. She was a fierce advocate for the elderly, their family members, and the betterment of taking care of others. She loved talking to everyone and would stop what she was doing to listen to anyone’s story. When she wasn’t taking care of people, Leslie was with her animals.  There was always at least one animal in her arms, on her lap, or wrapped around her neck. She is survived by her fur children: Sutton, Sullivan, Sampson, Archie, Charlie, and Ralphie. Leslie loved spending her free time in Maine where she read, hiked, and snowshoed as much as she could. Her holiday spirit was something of legends and her love of Christmas will be forever remembered.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St Gloversville, NY 12078 followed by a brief Service of Remembrance.  Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in the spring.
