Obituary of Calvin Cruz Knudsen

Calvin Cruz Knudsen, 35, of Gloversville, NY passed away suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2024 after a tragic accident.

He was born on January 26, 1988, to Gloria Knudsen and Joel Knudsen Sr.

Calvin attended local school graduating from Canajoharie High School, the class of 2006. He was most recently employed by Driscoll Foods where he worked for a number of years. In his spare time, Calvin loved sports.  He enjoyed bowling, playing Soccer, and loved to watch football especially The Steelers, and his New York Yankees.

Calvin is survived by his parents Gloria and Joel Sr., brother Joel (Sam) Knudsen Jr., nieces Olivia, Brianna, Jazlynn, Jaida, nephews Kaden, Brayden, Keagan, Jovan, and cousin Richard Knudsen. He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles,

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Betty and Roy Kilmartin Sr., Lucille and Richard C. Knudsen, uncles Paul (Brenda) Kilmartin, Richard Anderson Sr. and several others.

A Service of Remembrance will take place at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Funeral Home 69 Otsego St Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, January 24 beginning at 2:00 PM. Please join the family at Canajoharie Fire Department from 4:15 PM until 6:00 PM following the service. Interment will take place in the spring at Maple Avenue Cemetery.
