Obituary of Seymour A. Stuart Jr.

Seymour A. Stuart Jr., 54, of Gloversville, NY, entered into peace January 8, 2024, with his family at his side. Born on January 19, 1969, in Gloversville to Rosella and Seymour Stuart Sr.  

Seymour had a deep passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a dedicated member of Search & Rescue Team 5-1 where he assisted in several recoveries and in training new recruits. A devoted fan of NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, he also enjoyed spending time around friends, family and his dog.   

Seymour is survived by his wife Colleen, his daughter Audra (Jeff), his son Seymour (Ashley), his son Wade, his sister Pam (Mike) Rose. Seymour also left behind five adored grandchildren - Landen, Ava, Dalyliah, Greyson and Carmen. His Uncle Earl (Rose) Stewart, whom he held dear. His cousin Daryl (Kim) Stewart, Dave Stewart, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. His four legged baby Kacey, and the neighborhood squirrels he fed daily will miss him.  

Preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers - Steve and Scott (Lucky), two sisters - Brenda and Jeanette, and his cherished friend Danny.  

In his life, Seymour brought joy to those around him with his sense of humor and his love for the outdoors . He will be deeply missed by so many.  

In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal services. Please join us to celebrate Seymour's life on January 28th at Pine Tree Rifle Club at 1 o’clock. 419 Johnson Ave, Johnstown NY.
